More ways to break free

Free programs to help kids stay active, healthy and connected

The South Australian Government is investing $76 million to deliver a range of programs that offer real, practical alternatives to screen time.

From 2027, families will have access to free Year 7 school camps, sport, recreation, outdoor learning, music, arts and active school days to help support a healthier childhood.

The programs are rolling out across the State, with availability varying by location and timing.

This means there are more ways to stay off screens, while easing the cost of living pressures for parents.
